Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Junior Software Engineer at MindPolar , based at the company’s office in Rourkela, Odisha .

The Junior Software Engineer will contribute to the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of back-end services and web applications under the guidance of senior team members.

Responsibilities include implementing features, fixing bugs, writing clean and maintainable code, developing APIs and backend services, working with databases, participating in code reviews, collaborating with product and design teams, documenting technical work, supporting deployments, and continuously improving technical skills.





The candidate is expected to work full-time from the MindPolar office and collaborate directly with the engineering and product teams.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- 0–2 years of qualified software development experience.
- Freshers may apply with strong practical projects, internships, GitHub work, or demonstrable programming skills.
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, databases, and software engineering fundamentals.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C++, or similar .
- Knowledge of back-end web development, APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
- Familiarity with Git and GitHub/GitLab and collaborative development workflows.
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, Linux, Docker, CI/CD, or basic DevOps practices is a plus.
- Knowledge or experience in AI, automation, APIs, or modern technology platforms is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to a fast-paced product development environment.
- Must be willing to work full-time on-site at the MindPolar office in Rourkela, Odisha.
