Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior Site Engineer – Civil with 1–2 years of experience in building construction. The candidate will assist in day-to-day site execution, quality control, measurements, manpower coordination and site documentation.

The candidate should be comfortable working at construction sites and coordinating with senior engineers, contractors, subcontractors and labour teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise day-to-day civil construction activities at site.
- Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors and workers.
- Monitor daily work progress and report updates to the Senior Engineer / Project Manager.
- Ensure proper sequencing of construction activities.
- Check quality of workmanship and materials used at site.
- Identify defects or deviations and coordinate for corrective action.
- Take measurements of completed works.
- Assist with Measurement Sheets / Measurement Books and billing measurements.
- Maintain daily site reports, progress records and photographs.




- Record material consumption and work quantities.
- Read and understand architectural and structural drawings.
- Coordinate with the engineering team for drawing clarifications.
- Monitor manpower deployment and coordinate manpower requirements.
- Check material availability before starting activities.
- Monitor material usage and minimize wastage.
- Ensure basic safety practices are followed at the site.
- Report unsafe conditions and site issues to senior engineers.
- Highlight delays, material requirements and manpower requirements.

Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in building construction.
- Fresh candidates with robust practical site knowledge may also be considered.
- Basic knowledge of civil construction practices.
- Ability to read structural and architectural drawings.
- Basic knowledge of quantity measurement.
- Knowledge of concrete, reinforcement, shuttering, masonry and finishing works.
- Basic AutoCAD knowledge preferred.
- Basic MS Excel knowledge.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Willingness to work at construction sites in Chennai.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
