About the Project

BioLOCKEY is focused on developing AI-engineered synthetic binders and nanobody reagents for global health challenges. The project integrates AI-driven protein design , generative protein modeling , computational structural biology , and an iterative Design–Build–Test–Learn (DBTL) framework with BioLOCKEY's proprietary NANOdx® discovery platform to develop next-generation diagnostic reagents for point-of-care applications.

Key Responsibilities

· Support computational discovery of synthetic binders and nanobodies using AI-driven workflows.

· Perform protein structure analysis, epitope mapping, and structural annotation of therapeutic targets.

· Generate and evaluate computational binder candidates using modern protein design tools.

· Conduct molecular docking, protein–protein interaction analysis, and structural validation.

· Assist in affinity prediction, developability assessment, and computational ranking of binder candidates.

· Execute protein sequence analysis and structural bioinformatics workflows.

· Contribute to iterative Design–Build–Test–Learn (DBTL) cycles by integrating experimental feedback into computational models.





· Develop reproducible computational pipelines using Python and scientific computing tools.

· Collaborate closely with wet-lab scientists, protein engineers, and AI researchers.

· Maintain accurate documentation of computational analyses and project deliverables.

Duration

Full-time employment

Candidates without any prior relevant experience: full-time employment opportunity is preceded by 6 months paid internship.

Required Qualifications

· Master's degree (M.Sc./M.Tech. or equivalent) in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Structural Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science with Life Sciences specialization and Related disciplines

· 1–3 years of relevant research or industry experience.

· Strong programming skills in Python.

· Valuable understanding of protein biology and structural biology.

· Experience working in Linux environments.

· Familiarity with Git and scientific software development.

· Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work in multidisciplinary research teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with one or more of the following:

· AlphaFold / ColabFold, RFdiffusion, ProteinMPNN, ESMFold, Rosetta, Molecular docking software, Molecular dynamics simulations, PyMOL or Chimera, Protein sequence analysis, Machine learning for biological applications

Nice to Have

· Experience with protein engineering or antibody/nanobody discovery.

· Exposure to protein language models or generative AI.

· Knowledge of high-performance computing (HPC) environments.

· Familiarity with workflow automation tools.

· Experience with scientific programming libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.

Big Plus

· Hands-on experience developing AI pipelines for protein design.

· Experience working on translational diagnostics or biomarker discovery projects.

· Familiarity with Design–Build–Test–Learn (DBTL) workflows.

· Contributions to open-source computational biology projects.
