Job Title: Overseas Education Counselor – UK Specialist

Department: Student Counseling / International Admissions

Reports To: Senior Counselor

Job Purpose The Junior UK Education Counselor provides end-to-end guidance to students aspiring to pursue higher education in the United Kingdom. This role involves evaluating student profiles, advising on course and university selection, assisting with UCAS and direct applications, providing visa guidance, and driving conversions from inquiries to successful university enrollments.

Key Responsibilities1. Student Counseling & Assessment

- Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions (in-person or online) with students and parents to evaluate academic background, career goals, and budget.
- Shortlist suitable UK universities, foundation programs, undergraduate, or postgraduate courses aligned with the student's profile.
- Provide accurate info regarding UK entry requirements (IELTS/PTE/TOEFL, MOI waivers, GPA criteria) and intake timelines (September/January/May).
- Support with other intakes in other months for other countries

1. Application & Admission Management

- Guide students through application portals, including UCAS for undergraduate admissions and direct university portals for postgraduate courses.
- Review and edit Statements of Purpose (SOP), Letters of Recommendation (LOR), and CVs to ensure compliance with UK university standards.
- Follow up regularly with university admissions teams to track application status, secure offer letters (Conditional/Unconditional), and handle CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) requests.

1. UK Student Visa & Financial Guidance

- Guide students on UK Student Visa (formerly Tier 4) requirements, including financial proof, maintenance funds, CAS issuance, and TB test procedures.
- Conduct mock interviews for university credibility interviews and visa checks.
- Advise on scholarships, bursaries, and education loans.

Lead Conversion & Relationship Management

- Handle incoming inquiries via walk-ins, phone calls, website leads, and education fairs.
- Maintain student records and update lead pipelines in the CRM system.
- Build strong relationships with UK university representatives and regional partner agency networks.

1. Pre-Departure & Post-Arrival Support

- Conduct pre-departure briefing sessions regarding accommodation, healthcare (IHS), tuition fee payments, and life in the UK.
- Advise students on post-study work regulations (Graduate Route Visa) and part-time work rights.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Lead-to-application conversion rate.
- Number of successful university offers and CAS issuances achieved per intake.
- Visa approval success rate.
- Student satisfaction scores and referrals.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Education, Business, Communication, or Marketing preferred).
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience as an Overseas Education Counselor with a robust focus on the UK market.
- Certifications: British Council Trained Agent / Certified UK Education Counselor (preferred).
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with UCAS, university portals, CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), and MS Office.

As a junior counselor, your primary role will be to handle uk related queries. In addition you will be trained to handle other countries down the line and ensure that the position is promoted to senior counselor down the line Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
