As we continue expanding our global operations, we are looking for a motivated Ocean & Air Import/Export Specialist to join our growing international team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a freight forwarding professional with 2–4 years of hands-on experience who is eager to grow their career while managing international ocean and air shipments in a fast-paced setting.

Location : Remote – India

Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM EST Montreal time

What You'll Do

As our Ocean & Air Import/Export Specialist, you will support and coordinate international freight shipments from start to finish, working closely with clients, carriers, overseas agents, customs brokers, and internal teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Coordinate ocean and air shipments: Manage day-to-day import and export shipments, including FCL, LCL, and air freight, from booking through final delivery.
- Book and track cargo: Coordinate bookings with carriers, steamship lines, airlines, and overseas agents, while monitoring shipments and providing timely updates.
- Prepare and review shipping documentation: Handle and validate essential documents, including Bills of Lading (B/L), Air Waybills (AWB), Packing Lists, Commercial Invoices, and Certificates of Origin.
- Support customs and trade compliance: Coordinate with customs brokers, agents, carriers, and partners to help ensure shipments meet applicable customs and international trade requirements.
- Communicate with clients and partners:



Serve as a key point of contact for shipment updates and operational coordination, maintaining clear and professional communication throughout the shipment lifecycle.
- Monitor costs and invoices: Review freight invoices and shipment-related charges, identify discrepancies, and coordinate resolutions when needed.
- Troubleshoot operational issues: Proactively follow up on delays, documentation issues, or other shipment challenges and work with the relevant parties to find solutions.
- Collaborate with global teams: Work closely with internal teams and international partners to ensure smooth execution and a high level of customer service.

What We're Looking For We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive freight forwarding professional with a strong foundation in international ocean and air operations.

- You’ll be a great fit if you have: 2–3 years of hands-on experience in freight forwarding operations, preferably with exposure to both ocean and air import/export
- Experience coordinating FCL, LCL, and/or air freight shipments
- Good knowledge of international shipping procedures and end-to-end import/export processes
- Familiarity with Incoterms, shipping documentation, Bills of Lading, Air Waybills, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs procedures
- Experience communicating with carriers, steamship lines, airlines, overseas agents, customs brokers, and other logistics partners




- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced workplace
- A proactive mindset and strong problem-solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using a freight management, transportation management, or logistics system is an advantage
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken
