About the Role:

We're looking for a Business Development Executive to support our Regional BD Manager in converting government leads into closed business across Delhi. You'll be the organization's first point of contact once a lead comes in from a municipal corporation or government department carrying it through proposal, follow-up, and eventual conversion under your manager's guidance. Prior experience selling to government is not required, but you should bring real business development experience and enough technical grounding to hold your own in a conversation about water & sewer pipeline management with municipal engineers.

Fluency in Hindi is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

- Act as the first point of contact with the government department once a lead is assigned, and build the relationship from there.
- Assist the Regional BD Manager in qualifying and converting government leads into confirmed business.
- Prepare and submit proposals, quotations, and tender/EOI documentation tailored to municipal needs.
- Conduct structured follow-ups with government stakeholders to move opportunities through the pipeline.




- Coordinate internally with the technical team to ensure proposals accurately represent solution capability.
- Travel within Delhi (and occasionally beyond it) for department meetings, presentations, and site visits.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, meetings, and proposal status in the CRM/tracker.
- Track government tender portals, circulars, and department budgets relevant to the assigned territory.
- Report pipeline status and forecasts to the Regional BD Manager on a regular cadence.

Qualifications:

- 2-5 years of experience in Business Development / Sales, with genuine technical understanding of the product or solution being sold prior government sales experience is not required.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; an engineering background is an advantage given the technical nature of the product.
- Fluency in Hindi, plus working proficiency in English/Hindi.
- Comfortable engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders and translating requirements into a proposal.
- Solid follow-up discipline and comfort with long, multi-stakeholder government sales cycles.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Delhi.
