Role Overview

Gate Manufacturing Private Limited is looking for a Junior Engineer-GET to support day-to-day manufacturing operations and manage manpower on the shop floor.

The candidate will be responsible for monitoring production activities, allocating manpower, following production schedules, maintaining process discipline, supporting quality requirements, and preparing production reports.

This role is suitable for a fresher engineer who is willing to work hands-on on the shop floor and develop into a Production Supervisor/Engineer through structured on-the-job training.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and allocate manpower across production lines/machines based on daily requirements.
- Monitor attendance, manpower availability, and operator deployment.
- Support daily production plans and monitor production output.
- Monitor WIP and production flow on the shop floor.
- Ensure operators follow SOPs, work instructions, safety, and quality requirements.
- Monitor machine operations and report breakdowns or abnormalities.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and Planning teams.




- Support in-process quality checks and report production defects.
- Maintain daily production reports, manpower reports, and shift records.
- Monitor basic productivity, downtime, rejection, and OEE data.
- Support 5S, housekeeping, safety, and continuous improvement activities.
- Assist in training and guiding current operators.
- Escalate production, manpower, quality, and material issues to senior supervisors/management.

Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
- Freshers are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Skills

- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Basic knowledge of production planning and shop-floor operations.
- Good communication and leadership potential.
- Basic MS Excel knowledge.
- Willingness to work in a manufacturing/shop-floor environment.
- Strong discipline and learning attitude.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
