: Junior Electrical Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career engineer with a foundational understanding of ship design principles who is eager to develop expertise in marine electrical systems. You will work closely with senior engineers and naval architects to support the design, documentation, and integration of electrical systems on vessels ranging from small crafts to larger commercial ships.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the design and development of shipboard electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, navigation, and communication systems
- Support preparation of electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, cable schedules, and load calculations
- Collaborate with naval architects and structural engineers to ensure electrical layouts align with overall vessel design and stability requirements
- Assist in selecting electrical equipment (generators, switchboards, panels, cabling)



in line with classification society rules (e.g., DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, IRS)
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and update drawings based on design revisions
- Support compliance checks against relevant maritime electrical standards (SOLAS, IEC 60092, classification society rules)
- Assist senior engineers in preparing technical reports, calculations, and design justifications

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 0 – 2 years of relevant experience
- Basic understanding of ship design principles (coursework, internship, or project experience acceptable)
- Familiarity with electrical design fundamentals: power distribution, circuit design, load calculations
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar design/drafting software
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills
- Positive communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
