Role Description The Junior EHS | HSE & ESG Manager – Safety and Sustainability (Construction Industry) is a full-time, on-site role based in Thane. The role involves supporting the planning, implementation, and monitoring of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) programs across construction projects, ensuring adherence to relevant standards, regulations, and client requirements. Day-to-day tasks include conducting safety inspections, assisting in risk assessments, tracking corrective actions, and maintaining safety and ESG documentation.

The role also includes participating in accident investigations, supporting the design and delivery of safety training, and contributing to sustainability and ESG initiatives such as resource efficiency and compliance reporting. The position requires regular coordination with project teams, contractors,



and clients to promote a strong safety culture and responsible environmental practices.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Occupational Health and Industrial Safety, with the ability to identify workplace hazards and support preventive measures.
- Candidates should possess skills in Environment Health and Safety (EHS), including understanding of environmental regulations and construction site safety requirements.
- Candidates should possess skills in Safety Training, with the ability to assist in preparing and delivering toolbox talks and structured safety programs.
- Candidates should possess skills in Accident Investigation, including gathering incident data, supporting root cause analysis, and tracking corrective and preventive actions.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of ESG concepts and sustainability practices in construction, including basic familiarity with reporting frameworks and resource management.
- Solid communication and documentation skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prepare reports, checklists, and compliance records.
- Ability to work on-site in Thane, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and adapt to changing project conditions and timelines.
- Professional certifications in safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
