About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Automation Test Engineer, 1-2 Years to join our QA team. The role involves developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts for web applications and REST APIs .

You will work closely with Senior QA Engineers and developers to convert manual test scenarios into reliable automated test suites and support automated testing within CI/CD pipelines .

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web applications and REST APIs.
- Work with Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress using Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript .
- Execute automated regression and smoke test suites and analyse test results.
- Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps, screenshots, logs, and API traces.
- Collaborate with manual QA teams to convert repetitive test scenarios into automated tests.
- Support automated test execution within Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI pipelines.




- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to the overall QA process.

Required Skills

- 1–2 years of experience in software testing/automation.
- Bachelor’s degree/B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Fundamental knowledge of Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript and object-oriented programming.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, or REST Assured .
- Experience with REST API testing using Postman or automation libraries.
- Basic knowledge of Git , including commits, branching, and pull requests.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum and STLC .
- Solid analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
