We are looking for a Junior Accountant with 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience to support our finance and accounting operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in bookkeeping, Tally, maintaining financial records, and day-to-day accounting activities.
The candidate should have valuable communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow within the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping records.
- Record and maintain sales, purchase, receipt, and payment entries.
- Handle accounting transactions and maintain proper documentation.
- Work on Tally / Tally Prime for accounting and bookkeeping.
- Assist in maintaining ledgers and reconciliation of accounts.
- Perform bank reconciliation and identify discrepancies.
- Assist with preparation of invoices, vouchers, and other accounting documents.
- Maintain proper records of accounts payable and receivable.
- Assist senior accountants with monthly and periodic financial reporting.
- Ensure accounting records are accurate and up to date.
- Assist with GST-related accounting and documentation,
if required.
- Coordinate with internal teams for invoices, payments, and supporting documents.
- Follow accounting policies and maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Required Skills
- 6 months – 1 year of experience in accounting/bookkeeping.
- Hands-on experience with Tally / Tally Prime.
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Practical knowledge of bookkeeping and ledger maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of GST and taxation will be an advantage.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
Preferred Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should:
- Have practical exposure to day-to-day accounting activities.
- Be comfortable working on Tally rather than having only theoretical knowledge.
- Understand debit/credit, journal entries, ledgers, bank reconciliation, and basic accounting processes.
- Be willing to learn new accounting processes and tools.
- Communicate clearly with internal teams and vendors when required.
