Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Accountant role based in the Kolkata metropolitan area.

The Junior

Accountant will assist with day-to-day bookkeeping, journal entries, and maintenance of ledgers, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. The role involves preparing and reviewing basic financial statements, supporting audit and assurance engagements, and assisting with tax and GST-related computations and filings.

Responsibilities include reconciling bank and vendor accounts, organizing documentation for MCA and RBI compliance, and coordinating with senior team members on advisory and representation tasks.

The Junior

Accountant will also help prepare reports, maintain working papers,



and ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid foundational accounting and bookkeeping skills, including ledger management, journal entry posting, and account reconciliation.

- Candidates should possess knowledge of audit and assurance procedures, and be able to support basic audit testing and documentation.

- Candidates should possess familiarity with income tax and GST concepts, and be able to assist in calculations, returns preparation, and compliance tracking.

- Candidates should possess understanding of MCA and RBI compliance requirements, or be willing to learn and support related documentation and filings.

- Candidates should possess proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software, with attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.

- Candidates should possess good written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-based workplace.

- Candidates should possess a degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; pursuing or holding professional qualifications (such as CA Inter) will be an advantage.

- Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, integrity in handling financial information, and a willingness to learn and adapt.
