WE ARE HIRING | JUNIOR SCIENTIST – WET LAB

Location: Mastichak, Saran, Bihar

Position: Junior Scientist – Wet Lab

Employment: Full time / Contractual

Be part of Akhand Jyoti Eye Hospital's Clinical Research Laboratories and contribute to impactful research in ophthalmology, genomics and proteomics.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform DNA/RNA extraction from biological samples
- Conduct nucleic acid quantification and quality assessment
- Perform PCR, qRT-PCR and gel electrophoresis
- Conduct protein extraction, purification and quantification
- Perform Western Blot, ELISA and immunoassays
- Support mass spectrometry sample preparation and proteomics analysis
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments
- Ensure proper sample storage, labelling and chain of custody
- Maintain laboratory notebooks and documentation as per GLP
- Follow biosafety protocols and ICMR research guidelines
- Prepare QC reports and maintain laboratory inventory




- Collaborate with Dry Lab personnel for sample metadata and analysis

Qualifications & Experience:

- M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences or related discipline
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in molecular/biochemistry laboratory
- Experience in DNA/RNA extraction and analysis
- Proficiency in PCR, qRT-PCR and gel electrophoresis
- Exposure to Western Blot and ELISA
- Prior experience in clinical/research studies preferred

Desirable: Ph.D./research publications, ophthalmic research/tissue biology experience, NGS or proteomics knowledge and GCP/ICMR training. Interested candidates can share their CV at:
