Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Jr. Mechanical Engineer – Drawing & Documentation with 1–2 years of experience in the manufacturing industry to support the Engineering and Production teams in managing mechanical drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), technical documents and project records.

Candidates with experience in automobile manufacturing, auto-component manufacturing or vehicle manufacturing companies will be given preference.

The candidate should be capable of reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, preparing and maintaining technical documentation, planning assigned work and coordinating effectively with the Engineering and Production teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Review supply orders, project documents and technical information under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Read and understand manufacturing, fabrication and assembly drawings.
- Organise and segregate drawings according to:
- Project or Supply Order
- Assembly
- Sub-assembly
- Component
- BOM item
- Maintain drawing registers containing drawing numbers, descriptions, revisions and status.
- Verify the availability of drawings against the relevant BOM.
- Identify missing, duplicate, outdated or incorrectly identified drawings and report them to the concerned Engineer.
- Maintain accurate electronic and physical filing systems for drawings and technical documents.
- Arrange drawings in the required sequence for production and assembly activities.
- Support BOM preparation by extracting basic information from drawings.
- Maintain drawing revision-control records and ensure obsolete drawings are properly identified.
- Assist in preparing project documentation, engineering reports and document-tracking reports.




- Plan and complete assigned documentation work within the required timelines.
- Coordinate with the Engineering and Production teams regarding drawing-related clarifications.
- Support the team in maintaining accurate and updated technical records.
- Develop practical knowledge of manufacturing processes, drawing interpretation and production documentation.

Required Skills
- 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in automobile, auto-component or vehicle manufacturing will be preferred.
- Positive knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, manufacturing and assembly drawings.
- Basic understanding of dimensions, tolerances, materials and engineering symbols.
- Knowledge of BOMs, drawing numbers and revision control.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.
- Good planning, organisational and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or other CAD software will be an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work effectively with Engineering and Production teams.

- Candidates must have a Diploma, B.E. or B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering.
- Candidates must have 1–2 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Only candidates with manufacturing-industry experience should apply.
- Candidates from automobile, auto-component or vehicle manufacturing companies will be given preference.
- Candidates with experience in mechanical drawings, engineering documentation or production support will be preferred.
- Freshers and candidates without manufacturing-industry experience should not apply.
