About the Role
We are looking for a high-ownership business leader to take end-to-end responsibility for a meaningful part of one of our brands, while leading a team of 5–8 people.
Depending on the business, you could own the online business for a brand in India, drive growth and market share for a global brand across priority categories, or own the growth of a brand across specific geographies.
This is a business ownership role with a strong e-commerce and demand-shaping core. You will own the number, identify what needs to change to deliver it, lead a team to execute against it, and bring together multiple functions to solve business problems.
What You Will Own
1. Own a ₹100-150 Cr Business
- Own revenue, growth, profitability and market-share outcomes for the assigned
business.
- Build annual and quarterly plans and translate them into clear monthly and weekly
priorities.
- Understand the key drivers of the P&L; and make informed trade-offs across growth,
margins and investments.
- Run a rigorous operating rhythm to identify gaps early and drive corrective actions.
1. Drive E-commerce Growth & Demand Shaping
- Own growth across relevant e-commerce channels and marketplaces.
- Understand and influence the full demand equation — traffic, visibility, conversion,
pricing, promotions, assortment, content, ratings/reviews and availability.
- Identify category and consumer trends and translate them into commercial
opportunities.
- Work closely with performance marketing and platform teams to improve organic and
paid demand.
- Develop interventions to gain market share within priority categories and
sub-categories.
- Continuously test new growth levers and scale what works.
1. Solve Business Problems
- Go beyond reporting what happened to understand why it happened and what we
should do about it.
- Use data to diagnose growth, conversion, market-share, profitability or execution
gaps.
- Break ambiguous business problems into clear hypotheses and actions.
- Balance analytical depth with speed of decision-making.
- Develop an independent point of view rather than waiting for solutions to be handed
down.
1. Lead & Develop a Team
- Lead a team of 5–8 KAMs / business managers / executives with clear individual
ownership areas.
- Translate business goals into clear priorities and outcomes for the team.
- Build a culture of ownership where team members solve problems rather than simply
execute tasks.
- Coach team members on commercial thinking, analytics, stakeholder management
and execution.
- Review performance rigorously while giving the team enough autonomy to operate
independently.
- Build a strong second line and progressively increase the scope the team can own.
1. Manage Cross-functional Stakeholders
- Work closely with Brand, Performance Marketing, Supply Chain, NPD, Finance,
Operations and other teams to deliver business outcomes.
- Influence stakeholders even when they do not directly report into you.
- Create alignment on priorities, surface trade-offs early and drive decisions to closure.
- Build strong relationships with marketplace/platform teams and external partners
where relevant.
- Be the person who brings different pieces of the organization together when solving a
business problem.
What We Are Looking For
E-commerce experience is essential for this role.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 4–7 years of experience, with meaningful experience in e-commerce growth,
category management, demand shaping or online business management.
- Experience working with a consumer brand, e-commerce marketplace/platform
or a digitally led business.
- Demonstrated ownership of meaningful revenue/business targets.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce growth levers — traffic, conversion, pricing,
promotions, assortment, visibility, advertising and availability.
- Experience managing and developing a team, ideally 5+ people.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability — comfortable going several levels
deeper than the headline numbers.
- Robust stakeholder management skills and demonstrated ability to get things done
across functions.
- High comfort with ambiguity, pace and changing business priorities.
What Will Make You Successful Here Ownership: You treat the business number as yours and don't wait for someone else to solve problems.
Commercial sharpness: You understand how demand, pricing, marketing investment,
inventory, market share and profitability connect.
Problem solving: You can move from data insight hypothesis action quickly.
People leadership: You set a high bar while helping your team become increasingly independent and capable.
Stakeholder leadership: You can challenge, influence and align people across functions without relying on hierarchy.
Execution intensity: You stay close enough to the details to know what's working, while keeping the team focused on the few things that materially move the business.
Why This Role
This is not a traditional KAM role focused on managing marketplace relationships.
You will be expected to operate as a mini-GM for a ₹100+ Cr business — owning growth and profitability, shaping demand, leading a team and orchestrating multiple functions to deliver results.
The role is designed for someone who has already built strong e-commerce expertise and is ready to move from managing a channel or set of activities to leading a business and a team
