Role Description The Journalism Intern will support EduAdvice’s editorial team by researching and writing news articles, features, and campus updates on education-related topics. The role involves drafting press releases, verifying information from multiple sources, and contributing to EduAdvice initiatives such as news alerts, academic jobs, and scholarship coverage.

The intern will assist in conducting interviews, gathering quotes, and preparing content for digital publication,



including social media and website posts. Daily tasks include coordination with editors for story ideas, adhering to deadlines, and maintaining high standards of accuracy and neutrality. This is a remote internship role, offering flexible collaboration with the team and exposure to the education media landscape.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Writing and News Writing skills for explicit, accurate, and engaging journalism.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for interviews, source interactions, and teamwork.
- Candidates should possess solid Research skills to verify facts, analyze policies, and identify relevant education updates.
- Candidates should possess the ability to draft and format Press Releases aligned with organizational guidelines.
- Current enrollment or recent graduation in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or related fields is preferred.
- Basic understanding of digital media, online publishing, and social platforms is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, ethical reporting practices, and the ability to meet deadlines in a remote setup are essential.
- Interest in the education sector and public policy, along with familiarity with the Indian academic landscape, is an advantage.
