Role Description This Journalism Intern role is an on-site internship based in Gurugram. The intern will support the editorial team by researching education-related topics, drafting and refining news stories, and assisting with press releases and institutional announcements. Daily tasks include news monitoring, fact-checking, preparing concise updates on policy changes, scholarships, and academic opportunities, and coordinating with stakeholders for interviews or quotes.





The intern will contribute to campus news coverage, help produce content for digital platforms, and support social media updates aligned with editorial priorities. The role offers hands-on experience in education journalism, newsroom workflows, and community-focused storytelling.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Writing and News Writing skills for clear, accurate, and engaging coverage.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with editors, institutions, and other stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess solid Research skills to verify information, gather data, and develop story angles.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with Press Releases, including drafting and editing institutional or policy-related announcements.
- Current enrollment or recent graduation in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Gurugram, manage deadlines, and handle multiple assignments responsibly.
- Basic understanding of digital media, social platforms, and audience engagement in the education sector is an advantage.
- Demonstrated interest in education, public policy, or youth-focused initiatives will be considered a plus.
