Position: Job Trainee – Maintenance

Reports To: Maintenance Manager

Job Summary The Trainee – Maintenance will assist the Maintenance Department in carrying out routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and upkeep of the resort’s equipment, facilities, and infrastructure. The trainee will work under supervision and gain practical knowledge of hotel maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the maintenance team with daily repair and maintenance activities.
- Support basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance work.
- Assist in checking and maintaining lights, switches, sockets, fans, pumps, AC units, and other equipment.
- Report any breakdowns, defects, leakages, or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
- Assist in preventive maintenance and routine inspections of resort facilities.
- Help maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance materials in proper condition.
- Follow instructions given by the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager.
- Assist in attending to maintenance complaints from different departments.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the maintenance work area.
- Follow all safety procedures while handling tools, machinery, electrical equipment, and chemicals.
- Maintain proper use and storage of maintenance tools and materials.
- Assist senior maintenance staff during repair and installation work.




- Complete assigned tasks within the required time.
- Perform any other maintenance-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Skills & Requirements

- Basic knowledge or interest in electrical, plumbing, mechanical, or general maintenance work.
- Willingness to learn and develop practical maintenance skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety.
- Responsible, punctual, and hardworking.
- Physically fit and comfortable working in different areas of the resort.
- ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or a related field will be an advantage.

Working Conditions

- May be required to work in guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, kitchen, gardens, plant rooms, and other resort facilities.
- May be required to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as per operational requirements.
- Must follow the resort's grooming, safety, and workplace policies.

Preference to Goan candidates or candidates currenly in Goa. Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
