JIRA SME

We are seeking a highly skilled JIRA Specialist with 4-12 years of experience in self-hosted Atlassian JIRA to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of maintaining, developing scripts, and deploying JIRA in

AWS. In addition, the candidate should possess experience with automation, major add-ons such as Script runner,

automation for Jira, Elements Connect, etc. Knowledge of Atlassian SDK is an added advantage.

Must have Technical requirement

 Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

 Play a pivotal role in problem solving and discovery of overall solutions, proposing and refining solutions, and developing features and improvements on self-hosted Atlassian products (Jira Data Center, Confluence, etc).

 Work collaboratively with Product Management and other stakeholders within Customer to maintain a high bar for quality in a fast-paced environment.

 Architectural knowledge on best practice for Jira in AWS ( Self-managed/self-hosted in AWS) and Ability to communicate clearly about complex technical and architectural problems.

 Craft automation scripts and code that meet our customer's standards for style, maintainability, and best practices while advocating for improvements to product quality, security, and performance.

 Create, Manage and administer Jira instances in AWS, including system configuration, customization, and user management.

 Strong understanding of Jira functionality, administration, and configuration.

 Experience with Jira SDK plug-ins and add-ons.

 Experience with customizing workflows, fields, dashboards, and reports in Jira etc.





 Working experience in Linux.

 Great troubleshooting skills for incidents within Jira or Infrastructure.

 Deep knowledge in creating and using complex advance JQL.

 Ability to propose thorough iterative solutions clearly and concisely.



 Proficient in configuring use of security, permissions, optimizing workflows.

 Good experience in automation and groovy scripting.

 Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

 Should know any backend language preferably Java.

 Should be aware of working in GIT Hub environment and aware of CI/CD concepts.

Jira Rest API experience for automation and integration.

Must have Soft Skills requirement:

Solid communication skills, both written and verbal in English.



 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement needs from business.

 Collaborate with stakeholders to identify requirements and meet Atlassian suite business needs.

 Train and support end-users on Atlassian best practices, functionality, and features in Jira & Confluence.



 Positive attitude towards solving problem
