We are looking for a Senior Java Developer with Strong Performance Engineering experience to help evolve our performance testing practice into a modern performance engineering organization. This role will focus on white-box performance analysis, application profiling, JVM tuning, and identifying code-level optimization opportunities for Java Spring Boot microservices running on OpenShift/Kubernetes.

Key Responsibilities

Perform white-box performance analysis of Java Spring Boot applications under load.

Profile applications using tools such as JDK Flight Recorder (JFR), Java Mission Control (JMC), Async Profiler, and thread/heap dump analysis.

Identify CPU hotspots, memory leaks, garbage collection issues, lock contention, inefficient object allocation, and concurrency bottlenecks.

Analyze application, JVM, database, and infrastructure performance to recommend optimization opportunities.

Partner with development teams to troubleshoot performance issues and validate code-level improvements.

Correlate application profiling data with JMeter workload execution and production observability metrics.

Drive performance best practices,



establish performance baselines, and automate performance regression detection within CI/CD pipelines.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Java performance engineering or backend Java development.

Robust knowledge of Java, JVM internals, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.

Hands-on experience with Java profiling and diagnostic tools (JFR, JMC, Async Profiler, thread dumps, heap dumps, GC log analysis).

Experience with OpenShift/Kubernetes and containerized applications.

Understanding of performance testing concepts and tools such as JMeter.

Experience with SQL/database performance tuning and application observability (Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, or similar).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience integrating performance analysis into CI/CD pipelines.

Knowledge of distributed tracing and microservices performance optimization.

Familiarity with cloud-native application performance and resiliency testing.
