Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Java Spring Boot Database Microservices Architect to design and lead the development of scalable, resilient, and cloud-native microservices-based enterprise platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, distributed systems, database architecture, and microservices design patterns, along with strong experience in building high-performance, secure, and event-driven systems.

This role requires strong hands-on architecture capabilities, technical leadership, and the ability to define modern backend platforms aligned with enterprise standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Microservices Architecture & Design

- Architect enterprise-scale systems using:
- Java (8/11/17 )
- Spring Boot, Spring Cloud
- Design microservices following best practices:
- API-first design
- Domain-driven design (DDD)
- Event-driven architecture
- Define service communication patterns:
- REST, gRPC
- Messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Implement resilience patterns:
- Circuit Breaker (Resilience4j/Hystrix)
- Retry, Rate limiting
- Bulkhead isolation

2. Database & Data Architecture

- Design data strategies for microservices:
- Database per service pattern
- Saga pattern for distributed transactions
- Architect and optimize databases:
- RDBMS: PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server
- NoSQL: MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis
- Implement:
- Data partitioning and sharding
- Replication and clustering
- High availability and disaster recovery
- Optimize performance:




- Query tuning
- Index optimization
- Caching strategies

3. Cloud-Native & DevOps Enablement

- Architect cloud-native solutions on:
- AWS / Azure / GCP
- Implement containerization and orchestration:
- Docker, Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/GKE)
- Design CI/CD pipelines:
- Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps
- Implement Infrastructure as Code:
- Terraform, CloudFormation
- Ensure observability using:
- ELK stack
- Prometheus, Grafana
- Distributed tracing (Jaeger, Zipkin)

4. Security & Governance

- Implement authentication & authorization:
- OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect
- Integrate API gateways (Kong, Apigee, AWS API Gateway)
- Define logging, monitoring, and audit strategies.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards.

5. Performance & Scalability

- Conduct architecture reviews and performance benchmarking.
- Design for horizontal scalability and high throughput.
- Define load balancing and failover strategies.
- Implement caching layers (Redis, Hazelcast).

6. Technical Leadership

- Mentor development teams and provide technical direction.
- Define coding standards and architecture guidelines.
- Participate in solutioning and pre-sales discussions.




- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Core Technical Skills

- Strong expertise in:
- Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud
- Microservices architecture
- REST API design and OpenAPI/Swagger
- Experience with:
- Hibernate/JPA
- Event-driven systems
- Distributed system design

Database Expertise

- Robust database modeling and performance tuning experience.
- Experience in handling high-volume transactional systems.
- Knowledge of distributed transactions and data consistency models.

Cloud & DevOps

- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerization.
- Experience in implementing CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
- Familiarity with cloud-native patterns and cost optimization.

Experience

- 10–15 years of IT experience.
- 5 years in architecture or senior technical leadership roles.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering large-scale microservices platforms.
- Experience in Banking/FinTech/Telecom/Healthcare domains preferred.

Education & Certifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Cloud Architect certification preferred.
- Kubernetes or Microservices-related certifications are a plus.
