- Java 8+, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud
- Microservices & Event-Driven Architecture
- REST APIs and/or GraphQL API design
- SQL & NoSQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra)
- Messaging/middleware: Kafka, RabbitMQ, or IBM MQ
- Kubernetes & Docker
- Security: JWT, OAuth, TLS
- CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab)
Non-Technical
- Ability to lead a team of developers and conduct code reviews
- Experience mentoring junior engineers
- Track record of on-time, production-quality delivery
- Strong grasp of Design Patterns & SOLID principles
Good to Have
- Exposure to Public Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Experience with GraphQL (in addition to REST)
- Working knowledge of frontend/UI for backend integration
- Familiarity with Data Governance & Security compliance in a regulated (banking) setting
- Experience working with senior business stakeholders
