Required Skills (Priority Order)

- Robust experience in Java Application Support and Production Support environments.

- Hands-on experience in Incident Management, Problem Management, and Service Restoration.

- Expertise in SQL Querying, Database Analysis, and Database Troubleshooting.

- Experience supporting REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, and application integrations.

- Strong skills in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and issue resolution.

- Experience with application monitoring, log analysis, and performance troubleshooting.

- Working knowledge of Unix/Linux commands and scripting.

- Experience with ticketing and ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Remedy, or equivalent.

- Understanding of application deployment, release management, and change management processes.

- Familiarity with Agile and ITIL practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide L2/L3 production support for Java-based enterprise applications.

- Monitor application health and respond to production incidents within defined SLAs.

- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application, integration,



and database-related issues.

- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.

- Support REST and SOAP-based service integrations and resolve interface issues.

- Work closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams to resolve production concerns.

- Execute application validation activities during deployments, releases, and maintenance windows.

- Monitor logs, application alerts, and performance metrics to identify potential issues proactively.

- Participate in major incident calls and provide timely updates to stakeholders.

- Create and maintain operational documentation, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles.

- Support change management, release activities, and production rollouts.

- Drive continuous service improvement initiatives to enhance application stability and performance.

Experience

- 6 to 12 years of experience in Java Application Support / Production Support.

- Experience supporting mission-critical enterprise applications.

- Knowledge of Banking, FinTech, Telecom, Software Product, or IT Services environments is preferred.
