Senior System Admin

Experience: 3-7 years (minimum 1-2 years in a team lead or supervisory role)

Location: Madurai (Work from Office)

Employment Type: Full Time

We are looking for an IT Operations Lead who will serve as the primary coordinator for IT operations across our Chennai and Madurai offices, supporting an organization of 400+

employees. This role owns day-to-day team management, task allocation, operational follow through, and escalation handling. The ideal candidate is a self-driven leader who takes ownership, follows through without being reminded, holds the team accountable, and ensures smooth IT operations without requiring daily supervision from the IT Team Lead. This is a leadership and coordination role with a strong technical foundation — not a pure technical position.

Key Responsibilities

A. Team Management & Coordination (40%)

Manage and coordinate the IT operations team across Chennai and Madurai offices

Allocate, track, and close all IT operational tasks — ensure no task is dropped or delayed without justification

Conduct daily task reviews and ensure every team member provides documented status updates

Run daily / weekly team syncs and produce concise status summaries for the IT Team Lead

Monitor team attendance, timesheet compliance, and escalate non-compliance through formal channels

Act as the communication bridge between the IT Team Lead and the operations team — no filtering, no selective messaging

Onboard and train new team members on systems, processes, and operational standards

B. IT Operations & Service Delivery (30%)

Oversee helpdesk ticket queue health — response times,



resolution rates, SLA compliance,

overdue tickets

Ensure endpoint compliance targets are met across all locations using ManageEngine

Endpoint Central

Handle escalated IT issues that front-line support cannot resolve

Manage workstation setup, access provisioning, and offboarding processes for 200+

employees

Coordinate with vendors for hardware procurement, repairs, and service agreements

C. Operational Reporting & Compliance (20%)

Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports with system-generated data from Zoho

Desk, ManageEngine, and other platforms

Support internal / External audits and compliance reviews — SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001:2022

Maintain documentation for all operational changes with proper audit trail

Ensure all IT processes align with organizational security and compliance policies

D. Escalation & Problem Management (10%)

Act as the first escalation point before issues reach the IT Team Lead

Identify recurring issues and drive permanent root cause resolution

Coordinate with Security, DevOps, and Admin teams for cross-functional requirements

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field

3–5 years of experience in IT operations or IT infrastructure support

Minimum 2 years in a team lead, coordinator,



or supervisory role

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Active Directory — user/group management, GPO, access reviews

Microsoft 365 — admin center, Exchange Online, licensing, security policies

Ticketing systems

Endpoint management — ManageEngine, Intune, or equivalent

Networking — firewall rules, VPN, DNS, DHCP

Windows Server and workstation administration

Positive to have

Exposure to compliance frameworks — SOC 2, ISO 27001

Basic cloud familiarity — AWS console, Azure DevOps

Experience with ManageEngine Endpoint Central / Trend micro

ITIL foundation or equivalent service management understanding

Wazuh SIEM or similar security monitoring tools
