About the role The 1st Line IT Support Engineer is the first point of contact for all technical issues, providing timely support for hardware, software, and basic network-related problems. You will work closely with end users, ensuring a positive support experience while maintaining service levels and accurate documentation of incidents.

What you'll be doing:

- Act as the first point of contact for technical enquiries, providing support via phone, email, and remote support tools.

- Log, categorise, and triage service desk tickets, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution.

- Perform password resets and manage user accounts within Active Directory.

- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network connectivity issues.

- Escalate complex incidents to 2nd Line Support teams where required.

- Configure and deploy workstations, laptops, and printers for end users.

- Maintain accurate hardware and asset inventory records.

- Ensure all incidents and requests are resolved within agreed SLA timelines.

What we're looking for

- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.





- Experience working with Microsoft 365 applications and administration.

- Valuable understanding of basic networking concepts and protocols.

- Robust problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining high attention to detail.

- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced support environment.

- Commitment to delivering excellent customer service and support.

Our dream candidate will also have

- Previous experience in a Service Desk or IT Support environment.

- Knowledge of Active Directory user administration.

- Experience using remote support and ticketing tools.

- Relevant IT certifications or ongoing professional development.

- A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn current technologies and systems.
