Global Shipping & Logistics (GSL) is a leading logistics and supply chain solutions provider delivering warehousing, transportation, freight forwarding, and value-added logistics services across the region. We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Operations & Application Support Engineer to support our critical warehouse and business systems.

Job Purpose The IT Operations & Application Support Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and security of GSL's business applications, warehouse management systems, IT infrastructure, and network services. The role plays a key part in maintaining uninterrupted operations across warehousing, inventory management, dispatch, billing, and cloud-based services.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide Level 1 & Level 2 support for business applications including WMS, billing, reporting, and logistics systems.
- Monitor and troubleshoot application interfaces, scheduled jobs, file transfers, and integrations.
- Support warehouse RF devices, scanners, printers, Microsoft 365, and end-user systems.
- Monitor Azure infrastructure, Windows servers, SQL services, Active Directory, and system performance.
- Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewall, and site-to-cloud connectivity issues.
- Monitor security alerts and support incident response activities.
- Verify backup completion and assist with disaster recovery and business continuity activities.




- Manage and resolve incidents during assigned shifts and coordinate with vendors when required.
- Support system upgrades, patching, software deployments, and maintenance activities.
- Maintain technical documentation, incident records, and shift handover reports.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in IT Operations, Infrastructure Support, Application Support, or Technical Support.
- Experience supporting warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft 365, and Azure.
- Sound understanding of networking, VPNs, firewalls, Wi-Fi, and endpoint support.
- Experience with application support, file integrations, and troubleshooting operational systems.
- Knowledge of IT security monitoring, backups, and incident management processes.
- Robust analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently on assigned night shifts.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Manhattan SCALE WMS or other Warehouse Management Systems.
- Exposure to Honeywell RF Devices, SureMDM, Fortinet, Sangfor, Boomi, IIS, and Azure services.
- Basic PowerShell scripting knowledge.
