- General Manager - IT / IT Head

Job Summary - The IT Head must be a hands-on technology leader who goes to the user, understands how work really happens and then uses SAP, BI, AI, integrations, rapid development and automation to create measurable operating improvements.

Key Mandate

- Hands-on technology leadership: Stay current on enterprise technology, AI, automation, low-code / no-code, vibe coding, BI and manufacturing digitisation.
- Go to the user: Spend time on the shop floor, speak directly with operators and managers, observe problems firsthand and design from the user perspective.
- Strong implementation: Own the full cycle from problem definition and requirement gathering through build, testing, adoption and stabilisation.
- SAP value realisation: Improve adoption, master data, process discipline, integrations and reporting while reducing unnecessary offline workarounds.
- Automation and integration: Remove duplicate entry, manual reconciliation and repetitive work through APIs, workflows and practical automation.
- Shop-floor digitisation: Improve production reporting, downtime capture, quality traceability, maintenance data and other plant information flows.
- Security and governance: Maintain sound cybersecurity, access control, backup, disaster recovery and development discipline. Non-Negotiables
- Manufacturing understanding:



Able to understand production, downtime, rejection, maintenance, inventory and plant workflows sufficiently to digitise them.
- Implementation track record: Proven history of getting systems adopted and stabilised, not merely launched.
- SAP / enterprise systems competence: Robust enough to maximise the investment already made and integrate it intelligently with other tools.
- AI and rapid-development fluency: Comfortable leading teams using generative AI, AI-assisted coding, vibe coding and modern automation tools.
- Cross-functional communication: Able to translate business problems into technical requirements and technical issues into simple business language.

Strongly Preferred

- Manufacturing IT leadership in engineering, automotive, metals, foundry, machining or similar environments.
- Direct shop-floor digitisation experience - machine connectivity, OEE, downtime, traceability, energy or maintenance systems.
- Strong BI / analytics experience.
- Low-code / no-code and internal application development experience. • Experience building a capable internal digital / automation team rather than outsourcing everything.
- Customer-facing digitisation experience, including portals, traceability, documentation or status visibility.
