Job Title: IT Engineer – French Speaker (Technical Configuration & Support) Department: Tribe Core Capabilities (IT Corporate) Business Line: BNP Paribas Cardif Location: Chennai, India Position Overview The IT Engineer will play a key role in implementing and managing usages for the ICE (File and Message Hub) platform. ICE is a centralized hub dedicated to the publish/subscribe pattern, facilitating data exchange through messaging (MQ Series) and file transfers (CFT) for French-speaking IT teams across various business areas. The primary objective of this role is to manage /"client/" requests—originating from various client projects—to implement or update new and existing flows.

This involves the end-to-end configuration of flows across Development, UAT, and Production environments. We are seeking a rigorous professional with a strong client-oriented mindset and native or professional fluency in French. Job Responsibilities - Technical Implementation: Design, develop, test, and deploy new ICE configurations across multiple environments (Dev, UAT, and Production).

- Support & Maintenance: Manage bugs and incidents during the build phase and provide support during the guarantee period.
- Client Engagement: Handle client requests, participate in the estimation/quotation process, and collaborate with squads to identify and prioritize project requirements.
- Agile Participation: Actively contribute to agile rituals, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Continuous Improvement:



Identify and implement opportunities to optimize technical activities and processes.

Required

Education, Skills, AND Experience (MUST‑HAVE) - Education: Master’s degree or equivalent qualified qualification.

- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in IT engineering or systems configuration.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with CFT (Cross File Transfer).
- Strong working knowledge of Linux environments.
- Languages: Professional fluency in French (essential for client interaction) and English.
- Behavioral Competencies:
- High level of rigor and attention to detail.
- A meticulous and methodical approach to technical tasks.
- Strong client-oriented posture and communication skills.

Preferred

Education, Skills, AND Experience (NICE‑TO‑HAVE) - Experience with MQ Series messaging patterns.

- Prior experience working within an Agile/Scrum framework.
- Familiarity with the publish/subscribe architectural pattern.
