IT CMDB Lead / ServiceNow CMDB Specialist

Role Overview A leading organization is seeking an experienced IT CMDB Specialist to own and drive the strategy, governance, implementation, and day-to-day operation of its ServiceNow CMDB environment. This role will play a critical part in ensuring accurate configuration data, supporting IT service management processes, and improving visibility across the organization's technology landscape.

Your Responsibilities

- Own and manage CMDB strategy, governance, and operational excellence.
- Lead Configuration Item (CI) discovery and service mapping initiatives.
- Ensure CMDB data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
- Manage integrations between ServiceNow CMDB and third-party tools such as Intune and monitoring solutions.
- Establish and maintain CI relationships through automated and manual processes.
- Define CMDB KPIs, identify improvement opportunities, and drive adoption across teams.
- Support Incident Management, Change Management, and broader ITSM processes.




- Collaborate with IT Security, Enterprise Architecture, Finance, Regional IT teams, and external service providers.
- Develop documentation, training materials, best practices, and operational procedures.

Your Profile

Required

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 4+ years of experience in Configuration Management or CMDB administration.
- Robust hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB.
- Experience with Discovery, Service Mapping, and CMDB governance.
- Knowledge of Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM).
- ITIL certification.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred

- Experience working within outsourced IT operations environments.
- Exposure to Intune and CMDB integrations.
- Knowledge of German, French, or Spanish.
