Role Description The Investment Banking Analyst role at SME Capital is a full-time, on-site position based in Recent Delhi. The analyst will support transaction execution by building detailed financial models, performing valuation analyses, and preparing pitch books, information memoranda, and investor presentations.

Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting industry and company research, assisting in due diligence, and compiling data and analysis for capital structuring and restructuring assignments.



The role involves coordinating with senior team members on client meetings, preparing meeting materials, and tracking deal progress across equity and debt mandates. The analyst will also help maintain internal databases, support business development initiatives, and ensure high-quality, timely delivery of all client-facing materials.

Qualifications

- Relevant academic background such as a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CA) are an advantage but not necessary.
- Strong foundation in Finance and Investment Banking concepts, including valuation, capital markets, and transaction structures.
- Advanced Financial Modeling skills with proficiency in Excel and ability to build, maintain, and interpret complex models.
- Robust Analytical Skills to synthesize financial, industry, and market data into clear insights and recommendations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear presentations, reports, and client materials.
- High level of attention to detail, integrity, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with financial databases and research tools is beneficial.
