The Role

We are looking for an Investment Associate who will be at the centre of our deal sourcing and founder engagement activities. You will own the early-stage investment pipeline—from identifying high-potential startups and conducting founder evaluation calls to supporting investor outreach and ecosystem partnerships.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys meeting founders, analysing businesses, building relationships across the startup ecosystem, and contributing directly to successful fundraising outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Deal Sourcing & Founder Evaluation

- Source high-quality startup opportunities across sectors through outbound outreach, referrals, accelerators, and ecosystem partnerships.
- Conduct Level-1 founder evaluation calls and assess business models, market opportunity, traction, and fundraising readiness.
- Drive the end-to-end platform evaluation process from founder onboarding through internal investment review.
- Build sector intelligence by conducting market research and identifying emerging investment themes.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified startups across multiple investment stages.

Investment Research & Pipeline Management

- Prepare founder summaries, investment notes, and internal evaluation reports.
- Build and maintain sourcing dashboards and pipeline trackers to monitor deal flow, conversion rates, and team performance.
- Conduct competitor benchmarking and industry research to support investment discussions.
- Coordinate internally to ensure startups progress efficiently through the investment pipeline.

Investor & Ecosystem Development





- Build relationships with venture capital funds, family offices, angel investors, and ecosystem partners.
- Support investor outreach through curated deal briefs and founder introductions.
- Facilitate founder-investor connections throughout the fundraising journey.
- Help drive successful fundraising outcomes by coordinating investor engagement across active mandates.

Ecosystem Representation & Strategic Initiatives

- Represent LVX at startup events, networking sessions, and ecosystem conferences.
- Build strategic partnerships with accelerators, incubators, and founder communities.
- Support strategic projects and internal process improvements that enhance sourcing efficiency.

What We're Looking For

Must-Have

- CA, CFA, or MBA (Finance) from a recognised institution.
- 2–5 years of experience in Venture Capital, Investment Banking, Startup Ecosystem, Corporate Finance, or Deal Advisory.
- Strong understanding of startup business models, fundraising, and venture investing.
- Excellent research and analytical skills with the ability to evaluate early-stage companies.
- Experience managing multiple live opportunities in a fast-paced environment.
- Robust communication skills with confidence in interacting with founders and investors.
- Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, CRM tools, and startup research platforms.

Good to Have

- Existing network within the startup ecosystem, including founders, VCs, or family offices.
- Experience conducting founder evaluation or investment screening calls.
- Exposure to startup fundraising processes or investment platforms.
- Interest in emerging sectors such as AI, ClimateTech, SaaS, Consumer, DeepTech, or FinTech.
