Job Summary

The Internal Auditor is responsible for conducting gold audits and internal process audits across branches to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to company policies. The role requires robust analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify risks, discrepancies, and operational gaps while maintaining transparency and integrity in all audit functions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Gold Audit Responsibilities

Conduct periodic and surprise gold audits at branches as per audit schedule. Verify gold loan packets, weight, purity, sealing, and documentation.

Ensure gold storage, safety standards, and security protocols are strictly followed.

Identify discrepancies in gold stock, documentation, or system entries.

Report variances immediately to the Audit Manager and concerned authorities.

Monitor adherence to SOPs in gold loan processes and recommend corrective measures.

1. Internal Audit Responsibilities

Conduct branch-level audits covering operations, financial transactions, cash management, customer verification, and KYC compliance. Review loan files, documentation, and system entries for accuracy and policy compliance.

Assess branch-level adherence to company policies, SOPs, and statutory guidelines.

Identify operational risks, internal control gaps, and compliance issues.

Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, risk ratings, and recommendations.





Follow up on implementation of corrective actions and compliance closure.

1. Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure proper implementation of internal control mechanisms across branches. Evaluate fraud indicators, unusual patterns, or high-risk transactions.

Support management in strengthening risk control systems and preventive measures.

Assist in investigation of internal frauds or operational irregularities when required.

1. Reporting & Coordination

Prepare timely audit reports and submit to Audit Manager. Coordinate with Branch Managers, Regional Heads, and other departments for data collection and audit clarifications.

Maintain confidentiality and integrity in all audits and communications.

Participate in audit review meetings and support audit planning activities.

Key Performance Indicators (KRA)

Accuracy of gold audit and internal audit findings.

Timely submission of audit reports.

Compliance closure rate within stipulated timelines.

Reduction in audit discrepancies across branches.

Adherence to audit schedules and execution quality.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related field.

Minimum 1–3 years of experience in audit functions, preferably in NBFC/financial sector.

Experience in gold loan audit will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹10,725.41 - ₹57,158.13 per month

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Thrissur, Kerala
