Job Title: Interior Stylist

Location: Chennai Department: Design Reports to: Head of Design / Creative Head

Job Summary The Interior Stylist is responsible for developing and executing the styling direction for Tint Tone & Shade projects. The role focuses on creating cohesive and aesthetically refined interiors through furniture, furnishings, accessories, artwork, lighting, materials, colour, and décor selections.

The objective is to translate client requirements and design concepts into well-curated spaces while ensuring alignment with project budgets, timelines, quality standards, and the overall Tint Tone & Shade design language.

Key Responsibilities

1. Styling & Design Development

a. Develop creative and cohesive styling concepts based on project requirements and design direction. b. Create mood boards, colour palettes, material palettes, styling concepts, and visual references. c. Curate furniture, furnishings, artwork, accessories, lighting, décor, and other styling elements. d. Ensure appropriate balance of colour, texture, scale, proportion, composition, and functionality.
1. Client Management & Presentation

a. Understand client preferences, lifestyle, aesthetic requirements, and project expectations. b. Present styling concepts, selections, and recommendations to clients. c. Guide clients on furniture, furnishings, artwork, accessories, lighting, and décor selections. d. Incorporate client feedback while maintaining the overall design intent and styling direction.
1. Sourcing & Vendor Management

a. Identify and source suitable furniture, décor, artwork, accessories, fabrics, lighting, and other styling elements. b. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, artisans,



artists, furniture brands, and suppliers. c. Obtain quotations, compare options, and recommend selections based on quality, design, availability, and budget. d. Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely procurement and delivery of styling elements.
1. Project & Site Execution

a. Coordinate with Design, Procurement, Operations, and other teams to ensure smooth styling execution. b. Conduct site visits to assess styling requirements and monitor implementation. c. Supervise placement and installation of furniture, artwork, accessories, lighting, furnishings, and décor. d. Ensure the final styling is aligned with approved concepts, design standards, timelines, and quality expectations.
1. Budget & Commercial Management

a. Develop and manage styling budgets in line with project requirements. b. Monitor selections and purchases against approved budgets. c. Identify suitable alternatives where required without compromising design quality. d. Coordinate with Procurement and Finance teams to ensure adherence to approved commercial processes.
1. Design Quality & Brand Standards

a. Ensure styling solutions meet Tint Tone & Shade's design and quality standards. b. Review styling selections for consistency with the overall interior design concept. c. Maintain attention to detail across colour, material,



texture, proportion, and placement. d. Contribute to developing a consistent and distinctive styling language for the brand.
1. Market & Design Development

a. Stay updated on trends in interiors, furniture, décor, art, lighting, materials, and lifestyle. b. Identify recent products, brands, artisans, designers, and sourcing opportunities. c. Build and maintain a strong network within the interior, furniture, décor, and design industry. d. Bring relevant market and design insights into project styling and concept development.
1. Cross-Functional Coordination

a. Collaborate closely with Design, Sales, Procurement, Operations, Finance, and other teams. b. Communicate styling requirements, selections, timelines, and project priorities to relevant stakeholders. c. Support initiatives aimed at improving design quality, customer experience, project execution, and brand presentation.

Educational Qualification

● Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Interior Styling, Fine Arts, Fashion, Visual Merchandising, or a related field.

● Relevant postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.

● Experience in the Interior, Furniture, Home Décor, Hospitality, or Lifestyle industry is preferred.

Experience

● 3–10 years of experience in Interior Styling, Interior Design, Design Curation, or related roles.

● Prior experience in client management, vendor management, sourcing, and project execution is preferred.

● Experience in luxury residential interiors, hospitality, furniture, home décor, or premium lifestyle brands is an added advantage.
