: Operations Manager – Modular Furniture ManufacturingRole Overview

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Operations Manager to lead our modular furniture manufacturing operations. You will oversee end-to-end factory operations—from raw material planning, CAD/CAM integration, and panel processing (CNC, edge banding, Cutting machine ) to quality assurance, dispatch, and site installation coordination.

The ideal candidate will optimize production efficiency, minimize material wastage, enforce Lean/5S practices, and ensure on-time project delivery without compromising quality.

Key Overview & Responsibilities1. Production Management & Scheduling

- Plan, direct, and coordinate daily shop-floor manufacturing schedules based on client orders, CAD designs, and delivery timelines.
- Optimize production lines including cutting, edge-banding, drilling, sanding, spray painting/lamination, and flat-pack assembly.
- Coordinate with the design/technical team to convert CAD drawings and cut-lists into error-free CNC machine programming outputs.
- Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), throughput rate, and turnaround time (TAT).

2. Quality Control & Material Efficiency

- Enforce strict Quality Control (QC) standards across every stage—raw material inspection (Plywood, MDF, Particle Board, Laminates, Hardware), in-process machining, and final flat-pack packing.
- Implement nesting strategies and cutting optimization software to drive down material scrap rates and off-cut waste.
- Root-cause quality non-conformances (dimension errors, edge peeling, missing hardware) and establish preventive action plans.

3. Supply Chain,



Inventory & Procurement

- Oversee raw material inventory, hardware fittings and consumable stock levels using ERP software.
- Coordinate procurement needs with suppliers to ensure steady material flow and prevent production bottlenecks.
- Manage final packaging standards (EPE foam, corner guards, corrugated packaging) to prevent transit damage.

4. Plant Maintenance & Safety

- Establish preventive maintenance schedules for major machinery (Panel Saws, CNC Routers, Throughfeed Edge Banders, Multi-Boring Machines).
- Maintain strict safety, ISO, and 5S protocols across the factory floor to ensure a safe, efficient working environment.

5. Team Leadership & Installation Support

- Lead, mentor, and train plant supervisors, machine operators, carpenters, and helpers.
- Liaise with project managers and site-installation supervisors to align dispatch schedules with site readiness.
- Installation and handover of site
- Snag list and service order tracking,
- Completion and handover of the project within the prescribed TAT,

Required Qualifications & Skills

7–12+ years in manufacturing operations, with at least 4+ years specifically in modular furniture / panel processing

Technical Know-How

Hands-on experience with CNC machines, Panel Saws, Edge Banders, Vacuum Press machines, and CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD, Prolance )

Software

Hands-on working knowledge of ERP systems

Methodologies

Deep practical knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and Material Yield Optimization

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
