At Namaste Design , we’re looking for a Junior Interior Designer who enjoys creating thoughtful spaces and interacting with clients. This is a customer-facing role that combines interior design, client consultations, and sales support —not a design-only position.

You will help understand client requirements, develop suitable design proposals, and follow up on enquiries to convert them into confirmed projects, with guidance from the team.

Key Responsibilities

- Client consultations and requirement gathering: Connect with assigned leads through calls, messages, and meetings. Understand their space, design preferences, budget, project scope, and expected timelines. Document requirements clearly before preparing proposals.
- Design development and presentations: Assist with space planning, furniture layouts, mood boards, material selections, and design presentations. Prepare and revise drawings or visualisations based on client feedback and internal reviews.
- Proposals and quotations: Work with the team to prepare accurate proposals, quotations, and scope-of-work documents. Explain designs, materials, inclusions, exclusions, and pricing clearly to clients. Obtain internal approval before committing to discounts, delivery timelines, or scope changes.
- Lead follow-ups and sales conversion:



Follow up consistently with prospective clients, address queries, arrange presentations, and support project bookings. Maintain a clear next step for every active enquiry. Sales targets and performance expectations will be communicated separately.
- Site and execution coordination: Support site visits, measurements, and documentation as assigned. Coordinate with senior designers, site supervisors, and vendors to check feasibility and hand over approved designs and client commitments accurately.
- Record keeping and reporting: Keep the CRM or shared tracker updated with client discussions, requirements, proposal versions, follow-up dates, and booking status. Share regular progress updates with your reporting manager and flag delays or unresolved concerns promptly.

What We’re Looking For
- Relevant education or practical training in interior design, with a portfolio demonstrating space planning and design fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, or equivalent design tools , along with a basic understanding of materials, finishes, furniture, and modular interiors.
- Clear communication, good listening skills, and confidence in presenting ideas and discussing budgets with clients.
- An organised, proactive approach, with willingness to learn, follow up consistently, and take responsibility for both design deliverables and sales outcomes.

Suitable for early-career designers with relevant internship experience, project work, or a solid portfolio.
