Role Description The Interior Designer role at JD Institute of Fashion Technology Siliguri is a full-time, on-site position based at the Siliguri campus.

The Interior

Designer will design and develop interior layouts, create detailed drawings, and support space planning for academic studios, classrooms, and project work.

Responsibilities include collaborating with faculty and students on interior design projects, selecting materials and finishes, and coordinating FF&E; to align with design concepts and functional requirements. The role also involves reviewing architectural and construction details, preparing presentations and mood boards, and ensuring that designs meet safety, budget,



and aesthetic standards.

The Interior

Designer will contribute to mentoring students by sharing industry practices and supporting a creative, professional learning workplace.

Qualifications

- Strong Interior Design skills with proficiency in Space Planning to create functional, aesthetic layouts.
- Knowledge of Architecture principles and the ability to interpret and integrate them into interior projects.
- Experience preparing and reviewing Construction Drawings and technical documentation.
- Competence in FF&E; selection, including furniture, fixtures, and equipment coordination.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar), and basic rendering tools.
- Strong visual communication skills, including mood boards, material boards, and design presentations.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work with faculty, students, and vendors.
- Prior experience in academic, residential, or commercial interior projects is an advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹10,857.59 - ₹18,274.81 per month
