Internship Profile Description

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer Intern to join our team for a 3-month internship. The intern will get an opportunity to work on a live interior design project in

Dehradun, contributing to the design, planning, visualization, and execution-related aspects of the project.The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in interior design, a valuable understanding of space planning and design concepts, and the ability to translate ideas into practical and visually appealing designs.

This is a hybrid internship. The intern will work remotely for most of the internship and will be required to visit the project site in Dehradun approximately two days per month for site visits, discussions, observations, and project-related work.

Candidates must be based in Dehradun and should be able to travel to the project site whenever required.

Interior Designer Intern Responsibilities

- Assist in developing interior design concepts based on project requirements.
- Support space planning, furniture layouts, material selection, colour schemes, and overall design development.
- Prepare and update design drawings, layouts, mood boards, and presentations.
- Assist in creating 2D drawings and 3D visualizations/ renderings as required.
- Research furniture, materials, finishes, fixtures, décor, and other interior design elements.
- Participate in the development of design concepts and provide creative suggestions.
- Visit the project site approximately two days every month to understand site conditions and project progress.
- Take site measurements, photographs, and relevant observations when required.
- Coordinate with the project team regarding design requirements and site-related updates.




- Assist in reviewing whether design concepts can be practically implemented at the site.
- Incorporate feedback and make necessary revisions to designs.
- Maintain organized project files, drawings, references, and design documentation.
- Support the team in preparing client presentations and project proposals.
- Stay updated with current interior design trends, materials, products, and design practices.
- Contribute creative ideas and assist with other design-related tasks as required.

Interior Designer Intern Requirements

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s/Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Strong interest in interior design and spatial planning.
- Good understanding of basic interior design principles, space planning, colour theory, materials, furniture, and finishes.
- Familiarity with relevant design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, Photoshop,

Illustrator, Canva, or similar tools.
- A good eye for aesthetics, proportions, colours,

materials, and visual composition.• Ability to create or understand basic 2D drawings and 3D visualizations.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines.
- Ability to accept feedback and make design revisions accordingly.
- Candidates should have completed at least one relevant academic/personal design project, previous internship, freelance project, or similar practical work.
- A strong portfolio showcasing interior design, architectural, spatial, furniture, visualization, or related creative work is preferred.
- Must be based in Dehradun and available for approximately two on-site project visits per month.

Important Note

Since the internship involves regular visits to a live project site, only candidates currently based in Dehradun will be considered.The intern must be available to visit the project site for approximately two days every month during the three- month internship.
