Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have

(Ideally should not be more than 3-5)

- 10+ years of experience in automation, integration and functional testing across web/mobile applications and APIs.
- Hands-on experience in API testing for REST and SOAP services using tools such as Postman, SOAPUI, JMeter,

Karate, Playwright and K6.

- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect lifecycle,

Agile/Scrum ceremonies and Definition of Done.

- Experience with SQL Server / Microsoft SQL / Cosmos DB for data validation and test evidence preparation.
- Ability to design, build, execute and maintain test scripts, test plans, test cases and test reports.

Good-to-Have

- Jenkins and Bitbucket exposure.
- Understanding of CI/CD processes.
- Basic understanding of application codebase.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence test management workflows.
- Strong written and verbal communication with ability to work directly with business and development teams.

SN Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

Collaborate with development and business teams to understand requirements and prepare integration test strategy,

test plans and test cases.

Execute manual and automated tests to validate functionality,

performance and end-to-end integration across systems, APIs and applications.





3 Identify, record, track and retest defects, and work closely with developers to support timely resolution.

Develop and maintain comprehensive test documentation including test plans, test cases, test scripts, test reports and evidence packs.

Validate REST/SOAP APIs, data flows, system interactions and database outcomes to ensure integrated solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements.

6 Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, estimation, daily standups and retrospectives.

7 Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes,

automation coverage and quality engineering practices.

8 Support release readiness by ensuring user stories meet agreed acceptance criteria and Definition of Done.
