We are seeking an experienced Insurance Product Specialist with a strong background in underwriting or claims settlement. The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of experience in the insurance industry, with specific expertise in Guidewire or Duck Creek systems. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, design business cases, and manage project documentation using Agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Insurance Product Expertise: Leverage in-depth knowledge of insurance products, including underwriting and claims settlement processes.
- Guidewire/Duck Creek Experience: Utilize hands-on experience with Guidewire or Duck Creek systems to manage and streamline insurance processes.
- Requirement Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Business Case Design & Implementation: Design and implement business cases to support new initiatives and improvements within the insurance domain.
- Project Documentation:
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation using Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Requirement Harmonization: Ensure consistency and alignment of requirements across different projects and stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with various stakeholders, including business teams, technical teams, and external partners, to ensure project success.
Good to Have:
- Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile project management, including sprint planning, backlog management, and daily stand-ups.
- Industry Certifications: Certifications in insurance products, underwriting, or claims settlement.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with SQL, XML, or other data management tools relevant to insurance product management.
- Communication Skills: Solid verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in the insurance industry, specifically in underwriting or claims settlement.
- Proven experience with Guidewire or Duck Creek systems.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
