Role Description The Insurance Domain AI Developer will design, build, and optimize AI models that power Poliqs’ insurance intelligence platform, with a focus on property and casualty use cases. This full-time, on-site role is based in Hyderabad and involves close collaboration with product managers, data scientists, and insurance domain experts to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and training models for pattern recognition, behavioral analysis, and customer intent prediction; implementing NLP pipelines for policy, claims,



and customer communications; and integrating neural network-based models into production-grade software systems. The developer will contribute to end-to-end software development, including data processing, model deployment, monitoring, performance tuning, and documentation. The role also involves continuously improving model accuracy and reliability, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting experimentation to enhance customer acquisition, engagement, and retention outcomes.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development, including data structures, algorithms, APIs, and production-ready code practices.
- Hands-on experience with Pattern Recognition and Neural Networks, including model design, training, evaluation, and optimization for real-world applications.
- Practical expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP), working with unstructured text such as policies, claims notes, emails, and chat transcripts.
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks and tools (e.g., Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, transformers) and familiarity with MLOps concepts.
- Understanding of insurance domain concepts (preferably property and casualty), such as underwriting, claims, rating, and customer lifecycle, or willingness to learn quickly.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work in office in Hyderabad, collaborate in cross-functional teams, and communicate complex technical ideas clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
