About GrayQuest & Guardian One
GrayQuest is India's largest education focused fintech company, offering SAAS, payments and BNPL solutions for educational institutions. We work with 7000+ institutions and 2M+ students, and are backed by founders/CxOs from CRED, Udaan, Flipkart, OYO, Shaadi, Pidilite and more. Guardian One is GrayQuest's insurance initiative, offering health and term life cover through a panel of insurers and a trained advisory team.
The Role
You'll sit at the center of Guardian One's term advisory engine, owning how advisors sell, how insurer coordination happens around a policy, and how the funnel converts.
What you'll own:
- Customer advisory: Advise customers, understand the need, explain the trade offs, recommend what's right, and once we find the plan fitment, take them through purchase.
- Advisory leadership: Be the go-to person for advisors on product knowledge and objection handling, audit call/chat quality, coach advisors on gaps, and feed what you learn into training content. Spot recurring skill or knowledge gaps and feed them into training and L&D; content
- Insurer liaison: Own pre-sale coordination (eligibility, medical and financial underwriting, rider selection) and post-sale coordination (issuance, endorsements, escalations)
with the insurer panel. Flag turnaround or process issues on the insurer's side and work with them to fix bottlenecks
- Conversion: Own funnel metrics end to end, from lead to consultation to quote to policy. Diagnose drop-offs, design fixes, set benchmarks, and report on them on a regular cadence. Work with sales and business leadership to turn funnel insights into actual process changes'
What We're Looking For
- Product and advisory depth: Prior exposure to term insurance sales, insurer coordination and claim support is required.
- Team management: Comfortable managing and coaching a team of advisors.
- Coordination that actually closes the loop: You can chase, escalate, and close out issues with insurers before or after a policy sale, without the customer feeling the friction.
- A metrics-first instinct: You default to defining stages, tracking numbers by segment and channel, and diagnosing why a drop-off is happening, not just reporting that it happened.
- Explicit communication: Can explain complex policy terms in plain language, to customers and in writing.
- Ownership: You take things end to end rather than waiting to be told the next step.
