Role Description The Instrument Technician is a full time, on-site role based in Chennai. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing instrumentation and control systems across boiler plants, utility plants, and related equipment. Daily responsibilities include performing scheduled inspections, calibrating instruments, executing preventive maintenance tasks, and assisting in process optimization to ensure safe and efficient operations.

The Instrument





Technician will diagnose and resolve instrumentation issues, document maintenance activities, and collaborate with operations and engineering teams to support continuous plant reliability.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of instrumentation and calibration, with the ability to work with a variety of field instruments and control devices.
- Experience in process control and troubleshooting within industrial or utility plant environments.
- Proficiency in preventive maintenance practices, including planning and executing routine inspections and servicing of instruments.
- Understanding of safety standards and regulations related to industrial instrumentation and plant operations.
- ITI or Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline.
- Hands-on experience in water treatment industries is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs;, and equipment manuals.
- Strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
