Job Title : Instrument Technician - Maintenance

Reporting to : Manager - Instrumentation

Entity : Evonik Catalysts India

Work Location : Dombivli

Purpose Of The Position

- Job measurements, Permit to Work issuing & closing, project execution.
- Keep engineering & project documentation update.

Key Responsibilities

- Responsible for coordinating and executing all engineering and project-related activities at the plant site.
- Plan, assign, and monitor daily instrumentation maintenance activities to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain and update ISO documentation, records, and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, contractors,



and engineering/production teams to ensure planned maintenance activities are completed within agreed timelines.
- Guide and supervise engineering contractors during project execution and ensure adherence to ESHQ standards and Permit to Work (PTW) requirements.
- Execute preventive maintenance (PM) and calibration plans for instrumentation systems and equipment.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) investigations and provide technical inputs to identify and resolve equipment and process issues effectively.
- Attend and support all instrumentation and automation maintenance activities across the plant.
- Ensure reliability, availability, and safe operation of instrumentation and automation systems.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing plant efficiency, safety, and operational performance.

Education, Certification And/or Relevant Experience Required

- Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in instrumentation maintenance and automation within a chemical manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems, PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), DCS (Distributed Control Systems), field instruments, control valves, analyzers, and automation systems.
- Experience in preventive maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting,



and project execution related to instrumentation and automation.

- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a structured approach to troubleshooting.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrates integrity, openness, honesty, and respect while working with team members and supporting organizational objectives.
- Self-motivated with a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
