? We’re Hiring: Senior z/TPF Infrastructure & Capacity/Performance Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced Senior z/TPF technical professional to support a major airline customer in a critical mainframe environment.

? Key Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level technical support across z/TPF performance, capacity, and infrastructure

• Analyze CPU/MIPS, memory, cache, DASD I/O , and overall system behavior

• Monitor system health, investigate anomalies, troubleshoot high-priority production issues, and perform root-cause analysis

- Identify performance trends, capacity risks, optimization opportunities, and potential bottlenecks

• Develop capacity forecasts, resource models, and long-term capacity plans

- Analyze workload, application, configuration, and business-driven changes

• Support z/TPF environment maintenance, configuration, stability, and operational readiness

• Work with IBM mainframe hardware , including DASD, LPAR, HMC, and CEC

• Support networking and integration technologies such as TCP/IP, OSA, REST services, and Kafka

• Use TPF Operations Server (TOS) and performance analysis tools to automate operational activities and improve efficiency

• Prepare customer-facing reports, dashboards, performance insights, and management presentations

- Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders,



and customer leadership to support data-driven capacity and performance decisions

? Ideal Profile

We’re looking for someone who brings:

✅ Strong z/TPF engineering and infrastructure experience

✅ Hands-on experience with performance monitoring and capacity planning

✅ Strong understanding of CPU/MIPS, memory, cache, DASD I/O, and system performance

✅ Experience with forecasting, trend analysis, data analysis, and performance optimization

✅ Exposure to z/OS, z/VM, and/or z/Linux is valuable

✅ Knowledge of TPF networking, TCP/IP, OSA, REST, and Kafka

✅ Experience with TOS and performance analysis/automation tools

✅ Robust troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills

✅ Excellent customer communication and stakeholder management abilities

✅ Ability to translate complex technical data into clear business insights and actionable recommendations
