Role Overview :

We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, cloud technologies, and hands-on experience integrating AI/GenAI capabilities into enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities :

Java Backend Engineering :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build secure, high-performance RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Implement complex business logic, workflows, and third-party integrations.
- Apply SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean coding practices.
- Participate in high-level and low-level design discussions.
- Ensure application performance, reliability, scalability, and availability.

AI &

- GenAI Integration :
- Integrate Java applications with approved AI platforms such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, and Gemini.
- Build enterprise-ready AI-powered backend services and APIs.
- Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) workflows.
- Work with vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, and knowledge retrieval systems.
- Develop and integrate multi-agent applications using relevant Agent SDKs and frameworks.
- Evaluate and improve AI-generated responses for accuracy, relevance, and reliability.

Prompt Engineering &

- AI Governance :
- Design, structure, test, and refine prompts for enterprise use cases.
- Implement prompt validation, guardrails, fallback mechanisms, and output controls.
- Monitor AI responses and optimize workflows for consistency and reliability.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into AI-enabled solutions.

Cloud &

- DevOps :
- Deploy and manage backend and AI-enabled applications on AWS or GCP.




- Containerize applications using Docker.
- Work with Kubernetes for deployment, scaling, and orchestration.
- Implement application monitoring, logging, error handling, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD and cloud deployment practices.

Database &

- Persistence :
- Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
- Use Hibernate/JPA for persistence and transaction management.
- Design optimized schemas and write efficient SQL queries.
- Support database migrations, indexing, and performance tuning.

Collaboration &

- Engineering Practices :
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and technical discussions.
- Gather and understand system requirements from stakeholders.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to team members.
- Develop unit and integration tests following TDD/quality engineering practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues and drive root-cause resolution.

Required Skills :

- 10 - 14 years of software engineering experience.
- Robust hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Strong expertise in Microservices and REST APIs.
- Experience with AWS and/or GCP.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience integrating GenAI/LLM platforms such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, or Gemini.
- Practical knowledge of RAG, vector databases, embeddings, and AI agent frameworks.
- Strong understanding of prompt engineering and AI guardrails.
- Strong SQL and database fundamentals.
- Experience with Hibernate/JPA.
- Strong understanding of system design, design patterns, and scalable architecture.
- Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and TDD.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
