Business Analyst - Data & Insights

About the Role

We are looking for a sharp, data-driven Business Analyst to join the DoSelect Data Team — the single source of truth for all business data at DoSelect, Infoedge's talent assessment platform. You will own end-to-end data workflows: from gathering requirements and building reliable pipelines, to publishing dashboards that drive decisions at the leadership level.

The ideal candidate combines strong SQL and Excel fundamentals with hands-on experience in BI and dashboard tools (Power BI or Looker Studio), a keen eye for automation, and an emerging fluency in AI-assisted tooling for data problems.

Key Responsibilities

Data Management & Pipelines

- Design, build, and maintain data marts that serve stakeholders across all business units.
- Automate recurring data workflows using SQL scripts, Excel macros, Power Automate, or Python.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and documentation across the central data repository.
- Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate pipeline development and debugging.

Stakeholder Management & Requirements

- Serve as the go-to data partner for stakeholders across Product, Growth, Finance, and Operations at DoSelect.
- Conduct structured requirement-gathering sessions; translate business needs into clear data specifications.
- Manage and prioritise a queue of ad-hoc analysis requests with defined SLAs.
- Proactively communicate blockers, timelines, and data caveats to non-technical stakeholders.

Reporting & Dashboards

- Build, publish, and maintain dashboards (Power BI or Looker Studio) that are self-service, accurate, and performant.
- Design Excel-based reports and models for finance, operations, and leadership reviews.
- Establish and enforce dashboard governance standards (naming, refresh schedules, access control).
- Translate raw data into clear narratives with actionable insights — not just charts.

Analysis & Strategic Support

- Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify trends,



anomalies, and growth opportunities.
- Support senior stakeholders with data for strategic decisions, investor reporting, and board presentations.
- Recognise patterns across business functions and surface insights proactively.
- Partner with senior analysts and team leads on cross-functional strategic initiatives.

Experience & Qualifications

- 2-5 years of experience in a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or BI Analyst role.
- Demonstrable experience building and maintaining dashboards (Power BI or Looker Studio) in a production environment.
- Solid SQL proficiency — comfortable writing complex joins, window functions, and CTEs.
- Experience working with central or enterprise data teams is a strong plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with AI tools applied to data work (prompt engineering, code assistants) is a differentiator.
