We are looking for an industrial painter to handle surface preparation and spray painting of our machines and fabricated structures. This covers crushers, screens, feeders, washing equipment, conveyors and their structural components, from primer through finish coat.

Key Responsibilities

- Surface preparation: Degrease, clean and prepare fabricated and machined surfaces. Grind and sand welds, remove scale, rust and spatter. Mask machined faces, threads, bearing seats and nameplates before painting.
- Spray painting: Apply primer, intermediate and top coats by airless and conventional spray on machine bodies, structures, guards and components. Work to the specified paint system and colour code.
- Paint mixing: Mix and thin paints, primers and hardeners to the manufacturer's ratio. Maintain pot life, viscosity and cleanliness of the mix.
- Machinery painting: Paint fully assembled machines before dispatch. Touch up after assembly, trial run and match-marking. Ensure customer-specified colours and branding are followed.
- Quality of finish: Achieve the specified dry film thickness (DFT), uniform coverage and gloss. Avoid runs, sags, orange peel, dry spray and pinholes. Check DFT with a gauge and record readings where called for.
- Equipment care: Clean and maintain spray guns, hoses, pumps, compressors and the paint booth. Report faults and wear promptly.
- Stock and consumables: Track paint, thinner and abrasive usage.



Store paints and solvents safely. Report shortages in advance.
- Records and safety: Maintain job cards and paint records. Follow PPE discipline (respirator, goggles, gloves, coveralls), solvent handling, fire safety, ventilation and 5S in the paint area.

Working Hours and Overtime Regular shift at the Madukkarai plant. Overtime is applicable and paid as per statutory norms when dispatch schedules require it.

What We Are Looking For

- ITI Painter (General) or equivalent trade training. Candidates with relevant experience and no formal certificate will also be considered.
- 2–5 years in industrial spray painting at an engineering, heavy equipment, automotive body or structural fabrication unit. Robust candidates with more experience will be considered at a higher grade.
- Hands-on with airless and conventional spray equipment.
- Knowledge of epoxy, polyurethane and enamel paint systems, primer–top coat compatibility and thinning ratios.
- Able to read a paint specification and a colour code and work to it.
- Familiar with DFT gauges and basic paint inspection.
- Physically fit for standing work, overhead spraying and work inside and around large machines.
- Willing to work at our Madukkarai plant, including overtime as required. Coimbatore-based or willing to relocate.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
