India Country Head – Global Business Services & AI Operations

We are an established international group with operations across the UK, UAE and Asia. We are now establishing a new India Global Business Services and AI-enabled operations centre in Chandigarh/Mohali.

We are looking for a highly capable senior leader to build and run the India operation from the ground up.

This is not an existing office that simply needs managing. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for setting up the operation, recruiting the team, migrating our current overseas back-office functions into India, creating robust processes and controls, introducing AI and automation, and ultimately building a scalable operation capable of servicing external international clients.

The role will involve leading the full transition of an existing Pakistan-based back-office team into India, with responsibility for process mapping, knowledge transfer, recruitment, SOP creation, parallel running, business continuity, KPI/SLA implementation and final cutover.

You will also be responsible for building the Chandigarh/Mohali team, establishing a solid office-based culture, implementing performance and productivity controls, and identifying opportunities to automate repetitive work using AI, workflow tools and process improvement.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in GCC, GBS, Shared Services, BPO/BPM, Managed Services or international outsourcing, especially individuals who have personally built or scaled an operation and led cross-border process transitions into India.

The successful candidate should have strong experience across operations, recruitment, process improvement, KPI/SLA management,



business continuity and senior stakeholder management. Experience working with UK, UAE, European or US businesses would be highly desirable.

We are looking for an operator and builder, not simply an administrator. You should be commercially minded, highly organised, comfortable taking ownership, and capable of building a team from approximately 15 people initially to potentially 50–100+ employees.

This is a full-time, office-based position in Chandigarh/Mohali and is not a remote or hybrid role.

Key objectives will include:

- Build the India operation from inception
- Recruit the initial management and delivery team
- Lead the Pakistan-to-India migration
- Create SOPs, workflows, KPIs and SLAs
- Establish robust operational controls
- Introduce AI and automation across suitable processes
- Improve productivity and reduce manual work
- Build scalable finance, administration and back-office functions
- Prepare the operation to service external international clients
- Report directly to senior shareholders / Group leadership

Experience required:

- 10–15+ years in operations, shared services, GCC, BPO, GBS or a similar environment
- Previous experience leading international process transitions
- Experience building or scaling teams
- Strong knowledge of SOPs, KPIs and SLAs
- Strong recruitment and people-management skills
- Good understanding of AI, automation or RPA
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Strong commercial judgement and ownership mentality

Salary: ₹24,00,000–₹48,00,000 per annum, depending on experience and capability. For an exceptional candidate, we are prepared to be flexible.

Pay: ₹2,400,000.00 - ₹4,800,000.00 per year
