Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP BTP RAP Developer with strong expertise in building cloud-ready applications using the SAP BTP ABAP Environment and RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in CDS modeling, behavior implementation, OData service development, system integrations, and performance optimization while adhering to ABAP Cloud development standards.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development

- Design and build cloud-ready custom applications using SAP BTP ABAP Environment.
- Develop RAP-based applications for both managed and unmanaged implementation scenarios.
- Deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions on SAP BTP.

Core Data Services (CDS)

- Design, develop, and optimize Interface, Projection, and Consumption CDS Views.
- Implement analytical and transactional annotations based on business requirements.
- Ensure efficient data modeling and performance optimization.

RAP Development

- Create and maintain Behavior Definitions and Behavior Implementations.
- Implement validations, determinations, actions, and draft handling features.
- Develop robust transactional processing logic within RAP applications.

Service Development & UI Enablement

- Develop Service Definitions and Service Bindings.
- Expose OData services for SAP Fiori Elements and SAPUI5 applications.




- Support end-to-end service consumption and UI integration.

Data Processing

- Utilize Entity Manipulation Language (EML) for complex transactional operations.
- Implement business logic and data processing requirements within RAP applications.

Integration

- Integrate SAP BTP applications with SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Utilize APIs, web services, and SAP Cloud Connector for seamless connectivity.
- Support enterprise integration and data exchange requirements.

Quality Assurance & Performance Optimization

- Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with ABAP Cloud development standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, service, and database performance issues.
- Follow best practices for application design, security, and maintainability.

Required Skills

- Strong experience in SAP BTP ABAP Setting.
- Hands-on expertise in SAP RAP (RESTful Application Programming Model).
- Advanced knowledge of CDS Views (Interface, Projection, Consumption).
- Experience with Behavior Definitions and Behavior Implementations.
- Strong understanding of OData Services, Service Definitions, and Service Bindings.
- Experience with Entity Manipulation Language (EML).
- Expertise in SAP Fiori Elements and SAPUI5 integration.
- Experience integrating SAP and non-SAP applications using APIs and web services.
- Knowledge of SAP Cloud Connector and cloud-native application development.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
