Automation Test Engineer (Playwright) – Web Application

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Automation Test Engineer with solid expertise in Playwright, TypeScript/JavaScript, Azure DevOps, GitHub, and CI/CD automation to support Web Application and Performance Testing.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks for web, API, and enterprise business applications.

The role will involve automation strategy, framework enhancement, CI/CD integration, API testing, regression automation, GIS/map-related automation support, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation Development

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript.

Develop automated smoke, sanity, regression, integration, and end-to-end test suites.

Build reusable automation components using the Page Object Model (POM) design pattern.

Improve automation framework scalability, maintainability, and execution efficiency.

Perform automation code reviews and implement automation best practices.

Web Application Testing

Automate critical business workflows across the Web application.

Validate functionality, workflow processing, security roles, permissions,



and data integrity.

Support end-to-end testing of land, tract, GIS, asset, workflow, and business process modules.

Execute role-based testing across multiple user profiles and security roles.

Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Developers, and UAT teams to understand business requirements and acceptance criteria.

API Automation &

- Backend Validation

Design and execute REST API test automation using Playwright.

Validate API responses, data synchronization, and backend processing workflows.

Integrate API validations into UI-based automation scenarios.

Support testing of backend integrations, services, and workflows.

Participate in API contract validation and service-level testing.

Azure DevOps &

- CI/CD Integration

Create, maintain, and optimize Azure DevOps Pipelines for automated test execution.

Integrate Playwright regression and sanity suites into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.

Configure scheduled, release-based, and pull-request-triggered pipeline executions.

Publish automation execution reports, screenshots, videos, traces, and logs from pipeline runs.

Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline execution failures and deployment issues.

Maintain automation metrics and reporting dashboards within Azure DevOps.

GitHub Repository Management

Manage Playwright automation code repositories in GitHub.

Follow Git branching, merging, tagging, and release management strategies.

Perform code reviews and pull-request validations.

Maintain repository standards, reusable libraries, utilities, and automation frameworks.
